• Provide a platform for exchanging and debating current currents of thought and future directions of Jean Ayres’ Theory and Practice of Sensory Integration;

• Make known and support the best and different types of intervention based on the Sensory Integration Approach, in different age groups;

• Demonstrate the importance of working in partnership between professionals from different areas in assessment and intervention;

• Demonstrate the contribution of play in promoting participation in different contexts;

• Enhance the optimization of the assessment and intervention process in accordance with the principles of the Sensory Integration Approach;

• Promote scientific research in the area of Occupational Therapy.
