Dr. Berta Gándara-Gafo, PhD, is a Spanish occupational therapist with over 15 years of experience in the field of pediatrics. She obtained her PhD in Health Sciences from the Universidade da Coruña.

Currently, she is the owner and director of the Centros de Terapia Ocupacional Infantil TOIS in A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela, Spain. In addition to her clinical work, she also serves as an associate professor in the Occupational Therapy Degree at Universidade da Coruña and teaches in specialization and master’s programs in the field of Occupational Therapy in other universities.

Dr. Gándara-Gafo is a member of the Research Unit in Health Integration and Promotion (INTEGRA SAÚDE) at the Universidade da Coruña, where she participates in studies related to Occupational Therapy, childhood, and Sensory Integration in children, adolescents, and adults. She has also led research projects on cultural adaptations, validations, and reference values for Spain, such as the “Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI)”, “Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile” and “Adult/Adolescent Sensory History (ASH)”.
