Claudia Omairi, PhD, OTR/R(Br), is a Brazilian occupational therapist with more than 35 years of experience in pediatrics. She has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) since 2005. She completed her doctorate in “Child and Adolescent Health” at UFPR on the scientific evidence of OT-ASI in children with ASD. In 1997, she specialized in sensory integration at the University of Southern California (USC) in the discipline of sensory integration (OT610) under the leadership of Dr. Parham and interned at the Pediatric Therapy Network, Since then, she has worked with SI both clinically and as a teacher. She is the owner of the clinic (Curitiba – GymISense). She is one of the coordinators of the CLASI program (clasi.org) in Brazil by GymISense and was the regional leader (South America) in the collection of international normative data for the Ayres Assessment of Sensory Integration (EASI). She organized and co-authored the book Autism: Perspectives on Daily Life. She is president and co-founder of the Brazilian Association of SI. She is a recognized lecturer on SI courses in Brazil and is frequently invited to be an instructor for the CLASI international certification in Brazil and offers clinical supervision.
